So I thought he was napping...

     Sundays are always difficult with Marcus' schedule.  We've just chalked it up that it'll be that way due to church, but we refuse to let that be an excuse for us not to go worship our Lord.  Anyhow, he only took one nap yesterday, so later in the evening, around 5pm, I put him back to bed due to his extreme fussiness & whining.  I THOUGHT he was sleeping, but 25 minutes later, I heard him. "That wasn't a long nap," I thought to myself.  It turns out, he hadn't been sleeping at all...

Sorry for this being sideways at first.  I was using my camera instead of our video camera and I forgot!  Yes, I realize he's too big for this outfit again, but I wanted him to wear it one last time. :)

Marcus spitting on Aunt Liv

     Granddad and Aunt Liv came to visit briefly today.  Olivia brought a BEAUTIFUL cake for Marcus (just because) and we had a great time together.  As I was feeding him his sweet potatoes, Olivia thought it would be funny to entertain him and make him spit.  So what did I do?  Let her feed him.  Watch below:

Grandad makes me laugh

     Marcus sometimes acts like a deer in headlights when we hold up the camera, but especially the video camera.  Mark was making him laugh the other day when he was in his high chair, so I snuck around the corner and filmed his sweet little giggle. 

The Non-Napper

     Now that Marcus can roll over both ways, napping and going to sleep is getting to be a little bit of a challenge because he gets stuck.  I was trying to video him rolling around without him seeing me, but obviously our child is too smart for his mama.  Notice how he shook his head when I asked him a question.

Marcus' First Minutes of Life

     In this video, Marcus was barely 5 minutes old.  Dr. Cobb was stitching me up and Marcus, just like his Daddy, was chilling.  I'm so glad Mark took this video because I have zero recollection of this since I was in and out of consciousness. You can see the marking on his head where they had to use the vacuum for just a second to help un-lodge him.   

Marcus' First Poop

     This is probably my favorite video of all time.  Mark was changing Marcus' first poop at the hospital and every time he wiped the poop away, Marcus pooped more.  Mark used almost a whole box of wipes and I think went through 2 or 3 diapers.  Even though coughing and laughing like this hurt my incision terribly bad, the laughter did more for my soul than any modern medicine could've. 

Grandmother Bolen

     I found this video of Grandmother Bolen earlier today and had just the greatest time watching it over and over.  I love hearing and remembering her sweet voice and absolutely laughed out loud when she stuck her tongue out.  This video was taken at Christmas in 2009.  She was as precious as ever.  Enjoy!
